Q:

I am an end-user and my HP commercial product is defective. How do I submit it for repairs?

A:

Deliver your faulty HP unit to the HP Service Centre in your region. Upon verification of your warranty, the repair process commences. This applies to commercial in-warranty units only. Terms and conditions apply for out-of-warranty units.
Allow five working days for repairs.
You will be notified via telephone or SMS once your unit is ready for collection.

A: The same process applies to channel partners and end-users.

Q:

I am a retailer with a defective HP product. How do I submit it for repairs?

A: Mail manifest to your regional M-IT office on one of the following addresses: manifestcpt@mit.co.za or manifestdbn@mit.co.za.

Unit will be collected by a courier company. Prepare the unit for collection (ensure safe and secure packaging) and complete the required waybills.
Issue unit to the courier company.
The repair processes commences.
Allows five working days for repairs.
You will be notified via email once your unit has been repaired. Your unit will be delivered to you via courier upon completion of repairs.

We have facilities located in Durban and Cape Town.

Directions to the Durban service centre:
  • Travelling on the N2 southbound, take the Umgeni/Inanda off-ramp (exit 170) and turn left onto Inanda Road.
  • If you are travelling in a northerly direction, take the same off-ramp, cross Umgeni Road and turn right onto Inanda Road.
  • Turn right into Palmfield Road.
  • The m-it HP Service Centre is situated on the left, adjacent to Pine Timber.

A: The service centres are open weekdays from 08h00 – 17h00.

When submitting a defective unit for repairs, remember to:

  • Remove all accessories (e.g. cartridges, CDs etc)
  • Ensure that your power supply/AC adapter has been included. This is required for repairs to be carried out.
  • Ensure that you have made back-ups or recovery disks of your data.
