Launched in 2007 as a large-scale enterprise development initiative driven primarily through skills development, the HP Business Institute is at the core of HP South Africa’s Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) strategy. HP has invested significantly in B-BBEE initiatives, most notably in the form of the HP Business Institute.
As the first multinational in South Africa to receive Government approval for its equity equivalent proposal, HP is passionate about B-BBEE and believes that the local ICT sector has an important role to play in empowerment and transformation.
HP’s commitment to empowerment and transformation has been evidenced by its excellent scoring against the Department of Trade and Industry’s gazetted Codes of Good Practice. For the second consecutive year, HP has achieved a Level 2 Contributor status to B-BBEE with a certified score of 89.07%. |
